Citizen-generated data: A gamechanger for healthcare

Date:
Wed, Apr. 23 '25
Time:
15:00 - 17:00
Location:
Kongsvang Alle 29, 8000 Aarhus

Hosted by Health Innovation Aarhus & The Danish Technological Institute

Why should we talk about citizen-generated data?

Smartwatches, smartphones, and other wearables are no longer just tools for tracking your steps, diet, or sleep. These technologies hold enormous potential for preventing disease, improving treatment, and generally making life easier for citizens and patients living with illness.

For businesses, citizen-generated data can make it more accessible to develop even better health solutions – and for the healthcare system, it can help reduce the pressure from an increasing number of patients and strained economy.

This afternoon, we will explore the potential and barriers of using citizen-generated data in healthcare. We will hear presentations from three different healthcare professionals, each with years of experience in health data and extensive knowledge on how to harness the potential of citizen-generated data – while avoiding the pitfalls.

Join us for a dialogue on how we can use data responsibly and create a healthcare system that is both smarter and more patient-centered.
